Walker: A Plan of London and its Environs

Price: £280.00

  • Date: 1830s
  • Condition: A
  • Colour: Hand colour.
  • Size: approx. 400mm x 470mm.
Description

An interesting nineteenth century map of central London from Lewis' Topographical Dictionary.

A hand coloured engraved plan by Walker after Creighton with armorials to the upper border.

The map has a wealth of detail and street names and is a fascinating reminder of a very different London.

There is some patchy browning along the original foldlines and in the margins. Some wear and splitting along the foldlines has been reinforced verso. Overall good condition and will frame well.
