A stunning Dutch chart of the Pacific covering most of North and South America and with California as an Island and including in the Western Pacific, parts of Iesso and Tohoku (Northern Honshu); the Marianas, Eastern New Guinea and parts of Cape York and Carpentaria; Van Diemen’s Landt and New Zealand based on the voyages of Tasman.


A galleon enlivens the engraving at top center left. A fine example of an increasingly scarce chart.

The chart is in good condition having been rebacked with protective paper to cover some small paper loss. There is some minor soiling at the top center of the image and a small repaired worm track in the lower side margins.
