The upper engraving depicts Nocera, a town in the province of Perugia, 20 km north-east of Foligno, 520 m above sea-level. The town of Nocera was founded in the seventh century BCE. The lower engraving depicts the town of Castelnovo Monti in the province of Reggio Emilia in the Apennines mountains. Castelnovo is best known for the 'Pietra di Bismantova', a geological landmark in the Apennines. The pietra (literally "Rock of Bismantova") can be spotted from a distance of 30km as it stands at around 1.047m above sea level.
