An Austrian version of De La Rochette's important map of the region around the Cape of Good Hope, first published by Faden in 1782. The map shows the early Dutch settlements, the native kraals and the trails between the towns. A decorative title cartouche shows horsemen hunting elephants with lances, with the Table mountain in the background.
