Title: 'Isles de Salomon'.

An interesting and well engraved chart that reflects the contemporary ambiguity of the Solomon Islands and their connection, along with New Zealand, to the southern continent. The region between New Zealand and the Salomons is here called 'Terre de Qvir'. Fully engraved seas. Decorated with several sailing ships in the sea, and a ribbon-style title cartouche floating in the sky.

A dark impression. A small area of light staining just into map at upper right corner, else very good condition.
