A map of London during the reign of King George III, extending from Sadlers Wells in the north to Newington Butts in the south and Tyburn Lane (Pall Mall) in the west to Shadwell in the east. Black Fryars Bridge is shown with its approaches (completed in November 1769). Open spaces are coloured in green. The buildings in the City are stipled but the remaining buildings are hatched. The City of London boundary are outline coloured in red.
Below the plan is 'A Table of References to the Churches and Principal Buildings, shewing their situation in the above Plan'.

Dissected and laid on linen. Original slip case with title note: A New Plan of London 1770. Map needs cleaning and pressing otherwise in good condition.
