Description: 12 gores on one sheet making a globe of approx 35 cm. circumference (3 inch diameter). The engraving shows the signs of the zodiac and other constellations as mythical gods and animals.Although this engraving does not have a title it is highly probable that it was engraved by Bale. ale and Woodward seem to have worked together the former producing celestial globe gores and the latter producing terrestial globe gore. Both engravings being usually sold as matching pairs.
