Title: 'Virginiae Partis Australis, et Floridae Partis Orientalis, Interjacentiumq; Regionum Nova Descriptio'.

An elegant map covering the Eastern Seaboard from the Chesapeake to northern Florida and inland. The limited extent of knowledge of the area is apparent: the source of the St. Johns River, for example, is shown to be a large lake to the north west, in the Appalachian Mountains.

There are many decorative elements including an ornate scroll title cartouche, with figures of Indians, based on le Moyne’s drawings, scale-bar cartouche and sailing ship vignettes.
