Description

Title: Aldgate Ward with its divisions into precincts and parishes according to a new survey.

Publication: The London Magazine, VOL: XXXV for the year 1766

An attractive antique plan of the south-eastern fringe of the City of London, running from Tower Hill to Bevis Marks. The map is decorated with a rococo title-piece, the arms of William Craycraft (the then alderman), views of the churches of St. James's and St. Catherine Coleman, and a compass rose.
